Alana De La Garza, an incredible actress who has left a mark on the screen. De La Garza, a Mexican American father and an Irish American mother, was born in Columbus Ohio on June 26 in 1976. It wasn't long before she moved to Texas. In Texas, she embarked on a profession in the field of physical therapy. De La Garza didn't last for long in Texas then moved into Orlando Florida where she experienced many acting opportunities such as local independent films and global commercials. The small parts didn't stop her from finding out that she loved acting. When she moved from New York, in 2001 she landed her first acting role in the show All My Children. There were minor roles in JAG: Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men in the early 2000s. The first time she had a major role in a series was the short-lived drama The Mountain. She was Maria Serrano and De La Garza was lucky enough to be a part of a cast that included some of the best TV actors such as Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. The role that she is most well-known for is the A.D.A. character in Law & Order (2006). Connie Rubirosa. She was on for 85 of the episodes. In the course of a limited period, she was transferred into Law & Order: LA. This particular character has earned De La Garza several nominations such as Best Supporting Actress - Television from the Imagen Foundation Awards and even several ALMA Award noms. In 2008 she took home the Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza landed a regular role on CSI Miami a short time after. She was Marisol Deko, as well as wife to David Caruso's character Horatio. As Dr. Lena Solis, she was last seen on NBC's rather dark drama Do No Harm. After a couple of episodes the show ended up being cancelled.
